Everyone and nothing

According to the BBC, "Actors including Sir Derek Jacobi and Mark Rylance have lauched a debate over who really wrote the works of William Shakespeare".
The 287-strong Shakespeare Authorship Coalition says it is not possible that the bard's plays ... could have been penned by a 16th Century commoner raised in an illiterate household.
Elsewhere it is also being asked how it is possible that the combined intelligence and talent of so many people can produce such small-minded irrelevancies.

  1. Ah! So Shakespeare’s will “contains none of his famous turns of phrase”. Priceless.

Nothing exists in Shakespeare's handwriting, except six signatures all spelled differently.

How would Shakespeare have had access to the notion that Harvey proposed to the medical world about circulation and the heart? Yet, this very fact was mentioned first in Coriolanus before Harvey made his theory known.

Would William Shakespeare the playwright have had that kind of access to that kind of info. Or, would Bacon, who just happened to be close friends with Harvey>

Think about it. Then, read your Shakespeare. Nothing that is happening in the world today woudl surprise any of you.

  4. As a poet, Shakespeare had access to a different kind of info. Maybe Harvey was inspired by a visit to the theatre.
